Reside In Maine, originated as Katie’s personal Instagram handle, intended to highlight the Northeast lifestyle, her favorite places, local businesses, artists, restaurants, new discoveries and endless events that welcome visitors to this region throughout the year. In 2022, the name took on a new role! After 18 years working as a realtor at two of the most notable luxury real estate companies in the country, Katie found herself drawn to the idea of branching out of the corporate environment, bringing like-minded real estate professionals together, and starting a boutique brokerage where agents are encouraged to leverage their unique and multi-faceted entrepreneurial skills as assets and combine that with a shared appreciation for community and connection.

Katie fell in love with real estate while living in New York City but is a perfect example of the old saying: "you can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of her." During her seven-year tenure at one of the City's top real estate firms, Katie established herself as a top seller with a particular interest in relocations and transitions. As a transplant herself, she comprehended the multifaceted investments—beyond the financial aspects—that individuals should consider when buying or selling a home.
Katie's success in a fast-paced market can be attributed to her unwavering commitment to listening and responding to her clients' needs. She exercises patience, knowledge, and unwavering honesty throughout the entire process. "My commitment," says Katie, "is to facilitate a smooth, successful transaction with the highest level of service."
Reflecting on her deep roots in Maine, Katie is just as adept at negotiating upscale properties as she is centuries-old farmhouses. She possesses an innate understanding of the distinctions between mid-century modern and high-tech contemporary homes. Additionally, she excels at matching style-flexible buyers with properties that will suit their needs today and ten years from now. "Lives change and families grow, and those are the conversations that really create long-term value," she affirms.
Katie returned to Maine in 2010 to settle down and raise a family away from the hustle and bustle. She currently resides on Falmouth Foreside with her husband and two children. In the summer, they frequently visit their "cottage by the sea" on Southport Island, and during the winter months, you'll find them on the slopes of Saddleback Mountain. The family is passionate about boating, exploring Maine's beautiful beaches and towns, skiing, hiking, and outdoor exploration and travel.
Katie is also an active volunteer in her community, having held roles such as Board Member and Development Committee member for The Center for Grieving Children, The Olympia Snowe Leadership Committee, and the Annual Gala Committee for Make A Wish Foundation, among others. She is a proud member of the Portland Museum of Art and the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. In addition to her committee and board obligations, Katie makes annual contributions to several non-profit organizations. Furthermore, she is a certified coach specializing in mindset and personal development and is currently in the process of building a Women's Retreat Company, Wonder Love Travel Co.
